THE BEST FALL DECOR UNDER $25

No matter how much I grow to love summer, every year around mid-August a switch flips inside me and I’m ready for fall. Like a vast majority of the population, fall is hands down my favorite season. As much as I enjoy the slower pace of summer, there’s nothing quite like a crisp fall morning, and I’m of the opinion that it should be socially acceptable to consume pumpkin flavored things year-round. So needless to say, at the end of every summer I’m basically chomping at the bit to decorate for fall. This year I restrained myself until September, but you’d better believe that I spent my lunch break on September 1st hauling out my faux pumpkins and fall florals!

When it comes to decorating my home for fall, I like to take a more subtle approach by focusing on cozy textures, warm colors, and seasonal florals. I wrote this fall blog post 4 years ago, but I still stand by my recommendations for how to make your home feel like fall. A little plaid, some fall-colored florals, and cozy fabrics and textures can go a long way, but I still can’t say no to a few cute glass pumpkins. As I was hunting for some additions to my fall decor collection, I rounded up some of my favorite fall decor items for 2023 – and they’re all under $25. Keep reading to see my picks!

1. Amber Glass Pumpkin – I picked up a couple of amber glass pumpkins from the Target dollar spot last month and they’re my favorite fall decor item of the year! I love to include amber accents in my home all the time, but it’s nice to add a few extras at fall to keep things feeling cozy.

2. Harvest Fall Plaid Woven Throw – This throw has been all over my feed this fall, and for good reason. I’m obsessed with the deep colors and the fringe adds a little something extra. The last thing I need is another throw blanket, but I’m still tempted to pick one of these up for myself!

3. Ribbed Glass Harvest Spice Candle – I know I already gave this candle a shout out in this post, but I love it so much I had to include it in this roundup too. In my opinion this is the perfect fall scent – it just smells like a fall day to me. The pretty fluted jar in the perfect amber color is an added bonus!

4. Yellow Leaves Stem – Although I’ve been making an effort to switch out my less convincing faux florals for dried options, when I spotted these stems at At Home earlier this month, I had to grab them! The color is perfect for fall and I was impressed with how full each stem was. You could easily fill a vase with just two of these for less than $10!

5. Maroon Taper Candles – Switching out your usual white taper candles for moodier ones is a great way to subtly decorate for fall, and the color on these is the perfect deep hue for fall. If you know me, you know I’m not a fan of red at all, so I love that the color on these is a more muted burgundy.

6. Dried Willow Eucalyptus Bunch – I try to add a few new seasonal items to my decor stash each year, and these were my favorite item from last year! The price point is phenomenal and the deep burgundy color screams fall. I like to put two bunches of these in the large vase on our dining table each fall for some extra color and warmth.

7. Mini Pumpkin Putka Pods – I stumbled upon this vase filler on my last trip to Joann’s and although I don’t use vase filler, I think adding these to a decorative wooden bowl would be the perfect way to add a fall feel to any space. It’s hard to tell from the photo, but these are tiny, which I think only adds to the charm. I also love the color variation – it adds depth and makes them feel more interesting.

8. Orange Glass Pumpkin – While it’s true that I like to keep my fall decor more subtle for the most part, I’ll make an exception when it comes to pumpkins – especially pretty glass pumpkins like this one. I tend to keep my pumpkin decor in the deep orange or amber family, so this one is perfect for adding a pop of fall color without feeling tacky or over the top.

9. Faux Figs – One of my favorite ways to change up my decor seasonally is by switching out the fillers in my decorative bowls. In spring and summer, the vintage wood bowl on our kitchen counter is filled with faux lemons, but in fall I like to switch them out for some moody faux figs. Although the ones I have are no longer sold, I might like these ones even better!

10. Oak Leaf Stem – These stems have showed up on my Instagram feed a few times, and I’m obsessed! The color variation makes them really unique, and although I haven’t seen them in person yet, they look pretty realistic in photos. I’m planning to stop by Michaels this week to pick up a few for myself, so I’ll be sure to share on Instagram if they look as good in person as they do online!

11. Velvet Throw Pillow Cover – My love for velvet has really blossomed this year, and as fall approaches I have the urge to incorporate as much of this cozy texture as possible into my home. I’ve been wanting to switch up the throw pillows on our living room couch for a while, so I ordered this pillow cover in the color “Coco” earlier this week and I can hardly wait for it to arrive. It looks like the perfect color for fall!

12. Pumpkin Spice Candle – I’m a sucker for a fall scented candle, and this one might be the cutest one I’ve ever seen! I can confirm that the scent is delightful and the jar is too cute. I like to empty and re-use my candle jars when I can, so I love that this one could be used for storage once the candle is used up. I didn’t purchase this last year and regretted it, so I’m definitely adding it to my list for this year!
